Chesterfield May Day 2022

Monday May 2nd… Get the date in you diary for the best May Day march and rally in the country.
We have a great line up of trade union speakers including Frances O’Grady General Secretary of the TUC, Daniel Kebede President of the National Education Union, and Dorothy Guerrero of Global Justice Now.

Assemble at 10.30 am at Chesterfield Town Hall where we will have some short speeches from workers who are the heart of the struggle against the #costofliving crisis.

March off behind the fabulous Ireland Colliery Band with banners flying for our march around Chesterfield. Samba bands will add a vibrant carnival vibe the to march.

Our rally in New Square will feature our platform speakers , singing from the Sheffield socialist choir and then from 1pm great live music with the ska/ reggae sounds of Marroontown and rock and blues from the Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience.
